You can place on your Alterpages site videos shared on YouTube and Vimeo with just a few clicks

Videos allows you to tell a story or to present your product or activity. In any case they add a multimedia touch to your site.

Videos on Alterpages are always displayed using all the available space, this most appreciated by smartphone users because of their small screens.

Add a video from YouTube

YouTube is currently the most used video sharing service and is part of Google. On YouTube you can find any kind of video and you and upload selfmade ones.

To add a YouTube video on an Alterpages page just go on YouTube and copy the URL address from the page where the video is displayed. Then go to Alterpages > Edit > Add element > Multimedia > YouTube and paste the address in the single configuration field of this kind of element.

Here's the result.

Add a video from Vimeo

For Vimeo the procedure is almost the same. Vimeo is a video sharing service limited to original videos, so it's a choice for any videomaker.

Just go on Vimeo and copy the address URL of the video you want to embed on your site.

Then go to Alterpages > Edit > Add Element > Multimedia > Vimeo e paste the address in the single configuration field of this kind of element.

Add a video from somewhere else

YouTube and Vimeo are two of the most used video sharing services, but maybe you found an interesting video on an other service. If you want to embed that video you have to copy the provided embed code and paste it in an HTML Alterpages element.

This will surely work, but it will probably give some problem on small screen devices because the video will not automatically scale, so, if possibile, continue to use YouTube or Vimeo.
